I think you missed the point of my posting. Your question was about what women think of your Porsche. My reply was "Who cares" (what women think!)

The only women's opinions that matter to me are my wife and daughters'. I bought PDK (and Tip on the 996 we used to have) so my wife could also drive it. (She says she can drive manuals, she just needs to be taught.) Anyway, she loves driving OUR car. It probably doesn't hurt that she gets compliments at stop lights from good looking younger men!

My wife thinks the thing looks like a frog. She also doesn't like the fact that compared to my daily driver which is an automatic, I can't hold her hand non-stop driving the Porsche as I have to shift.

HOWEVER, I guess she does love me since when I took the car in to add the side skirts, seat belt swap, and the TechArt springs, she suprised me by going in the day after I dropped the car off and paid the balance of doing all the work

There are many more things that impress me about men other than their cars! But that is another thread...
it's a sorry day when a physician cannot afford a P-car. but. who needs cars to impress women?

i do like your style however... cars are to be enjoyed for their own sake.

I had the car for 3 10/12 years, got a few thumb ups from guys at the lights/ gas station but not one comment from woman. I guess this is a Bay Area thing.

When I met my wife (I was in my mid 40's), I owned 14 cars, she has never understood my passion for cars, or the fect that they change so often, but she has come to realize this is my thing. Ten years later, I have 5 year old twin boys (who can already spot almost any car on the road, & read my car mags with me), a few less cars, but the same passion. My wife tells her friends that is there was a naked women on one side of the street and an exotic car on the other, I would not even notice the women.

In Indiana, a Porsche sighting is a rarity, even the Cayenne that my wife drives. I've never had a woman make a comment about the 996. I think many women either don't notice it, don't know what it is, or don't care. A few guys have made comments in parking lots or gas stations, but never a woman.

My wife likes the 996. She loves the way it looks and the color. She doesn't like how low it is, making it hard to get in and out. She also likes the luxury factor that the Cayenne offers compared to the 996, but that's not a big issue because the 996 is my DD and the Cayenne is hers.

Just yesterday upon seeing it for the first time my 18yo niece (woman I guess) said "ohhh...nice little Ferrari
Most of the other women that have commented say something similar to, " oh, it's so pretty!" But the wife loves it and knows that I do and that's the most important woman's opinion!!!!

Ha! started funny anyways! Wife or Car?

My wife and kids love the car and love a ride in it anyday. My wife just accepts my illness.

I think not...

To be noticed in Northern Indiana, you need to be driving a Corvette or a Viper.

To really get noticed, you need to be driving a new pick up truck. The Ford King Ranch Edition will turn lots of heads.
