Default Dynamic Turning Lights Yay or Nay

Can we live without the Dynamic Turning Lights if model not equiped? 997.2 is the model.

More stuff to break. Who's gonna fix it in 15 years? Will there be obscure electrical components/software available?

Okay, one Nay. And good point... cars have become so complicated.

Naye...I own a 997.1, so it's a moot point for me. But our Cayenne has them and, although they are a neat feature, I don't find them essential. Moreover, I'm tired of the intermittent "dipped beam" faults and flickering lights that the dealer just can't seem to fix.

Do you like the look? I am in the middle to be honest. The non dynamic is classic 911. The Dynamic is 2009 911.

Wish they just came standard maybe?

Another Nay vote. OK on a sedan, not on a sports car.

I only say nay because the basic Bi-Zenons provide such a wide view in the first place that the directional feature may not really make that much of a difference.

How much driving do you do at night? I hardly ever drive at night except on the highway so I didn't see any benefit from having them.

I have them and I like them. However, I don't consider them to be a must have option. I drive to work each day before dawn so I make use of them. I would miss the self dimming mirrors more if both options were absent.

The cornering lights on the Cayenne are superior to the ones on the 997.2; They swivel a bit but also illuminate a secondary light which really lights up the side of the road as yoou turn. I find it very useful for driving on country roads when deer are likely to be around at night.

On the 997 they simply turn a bit with the wheel. I've used them and was not very impressed. I vote nay. Trouble is, thinking they were like the ones on the Cayenne, I bought them and now wish I had saved my money. Ah well ...
