A quick new owner update and pix
Status after one month of ownership...
- Got the clear sides and silver hood crest from Eric.
- Put on both mods. Turned out I prefer the original gold crest vis a vis the grey. Also prefer the amber sides for same reason. So back to original look. It's nice to have options.
- Ordered and installed Das Shild for the hood.
- Considering spacers but am not sure how big. No rush. Want to get used to the feel of the car first so I can actually feel the difference (if any) when I do install spacers.
- 700 miles on the odo > a third of a quart of oil
- Noticed one squeak from the rear after the car was washed... suspect the oil on the rubber seals were washed away, causing the rubber to rub.
- Loving every minute of the Porsche experience.
Here's some pix.
Tail fin up.
Got bored waiting at a light...
Really like the way the meteor grey has a blue tone or a beige tone depending on the light as this picture demonstrates.
Some extras...
Hope you enjoyed the show. Please feel free to post your car pix on to this thread.

really agonized over a Targa myself. if i could have one in Meteor maybe i'd have jumped (in fact i asked the dealer to look for one in MG and he came up with nada, only white). my dealer had one in "macadamia" which i thought would be a tough re-sale so i bought the prettiest Cab i could (Basalt)
very very pretty. nice choice. Targas are so cool, year round greenhouse!

Love those hips! Congratulations on a beautiful car. Definitely prefer the gold crest. The amber or clear side markers are a personal choice, whatever you prefer is what works.

Thanks! What do you mean "clean/wax"?
The car is a month old so I havent done anything more than have it hand washed at a local place where I get my Audi's washed. I've applied one coat of McGuire Gold (something or other) liquid wax. Maybe I'll apply another coat of wax near the end of the summer. Nothing fancy.

Finally, someone else who likes the amber side markers better! I was getting very lonely. You might think about the colored wheel crests too. Nice looking car indeed!
