I am reading the 997.2 manual...
997.2 are not equipped with the LATCH system in the rear seats. You can however retrofit the front seat (not sports bucket seats). You then need a key switch off the passenger's airbag

You are probably referring to the Child Restraintt Anchorages (page 54-55 on manual).

If 997s do not have LATCH in the rear seats, all of you are using just the seat belt to secure the seats???

No LATCH in the rear, just the tether points hidden under the carpet under the rear window. When my kids were younger, I used the belt to hold the seat and the tether, with harnesses built into the seat. Now I am using the Porsche seat in which the kid just uses the regular rear seat belts (not using the tether).

From what I understand, every BOOSTER seat is held in with the car's regular seat belt system, so that's OK. Boosters are for older kids. Newer child seats for babies and toddlers have the LATCH system and tether straps to attach them to the car. Porsche still does not offer the LATCH system for the rear seats for some reason. It's an option for the front seats. FWIW, I ended up with two Combi Dakota boosters and have been very happy with them for my 4 and 8 yr old boys.

That makes sense. Sorry for the terminology faux pas...

+1 on the Combi Dakota. My 6 1/2 year daughter who is big for her age fits well in it. I did not remove the seat bottom, I think she likes looking out the rear side window.

We have one of those in the Cayenne S and I like it a lot for smaller kids because of the large bolster that secures the kid in - it straps down and the seat is held with LATCH anchors. But now with my son older, we just use the regular seat belts without the LATCH attached and without the bolster.
