Jack...you absolutely should (and will) get compensation from PNA. You might want to touch base with the newly tanned selling dealer as to the procedures they go through when they PDI the car for delivery!
Loose starter wire. Gee. The wire is worth about $3K. Now we will see how PNA supports it customer base.

Jack, maybe a heavily discounted set of PSE mufflers, installed of course, could help the pain go away. 
Seriously, if you go this route, don't let them connect the PSE wiring to the Sport Chrono switch. Have them install a PSE switch so you have independant control of Sport Chrono and PSE. Here are two pics of the upper center console from a 997.1 cars which do not have Sport Chrono but do have PSE.

This is a problem I had with Audi, and it went the same way. Started when they got it off the flatbed. No problems, failed again a week later. Took 3 visits to fix. Believe I mentioned that very early in this discussion. 20 years later, same problem, different manufacture. Same frustration...
The last time it failed, it failed while driving (by the wife) in the middle of an intersection, middle of after work traffic. Taking that call wasn't pleasant. Car was less than a month old, and had not been fully set up for rallying yet.

Update...
Just got a call from the dealer. While still waiting for Stuttgart to get back to them, they went ahead and poked their heads under the car and prodded around the engine bay, and found a "loose" wire around the starter. Duh!!!!! Don't you guys think that should have been one of the very FIRST things to look for?????? So my service manager said they "think" that's where the problem is and will dig deeper tomorrow to see if that's it.

I can only say that I'm dissappointed in your dealer's performance (unless some bone-head PCNA policy is guiding their behavior). It certainly sounds like "we plugged in the computer and could not find anything, awaiting guidance..." nonsense that would come from a bunch of people who bring shame to the word mechanic.
After getting no fault readings, the next thing the shop should have done was trace down the wiring in the starting circuit - which we knew was not turning on the starter. How hard is that?
Do actual mechanically astute, diagnostically competent people still get jobs as 'mechanics'? Or are they just manual-reading-procedure jockeys that follow a recipe and cannot do any independent thinking?
All I can say is Argh! WTF!?

Glad to hear that the problem is fixed although I agree with everyone that it's ridiculous that the "mechanics" get lost if the computer doesn't show a problem.

I sure hope that's it. I certainly agree that the connection of a wire to the starter was one of the first things they should have checked. In my experience, it always pays to check out the simplest things first (as in the principle originally set forth in the 14th century - Occam's Razor).
For the crack about the green colour: If it was Lyme's Disease, shouldn't you see erythema chronica migrans spreading from the source of the problem? Or is this one of the 30% that doesn't get ECM with Lyme??
