Got a 997s 2005 a month ago, took it to the track same week on paper plates and this car is a blast to drive, shorter gears compared to my old 996 and more stable with a lot of understeer on tight turns. I already got CCW rims 18" with 255 front 315 rear Hoosiers R6, Tarret camber plates, and GT3 rear sway bar with Tarret drop links. My final alignment was -2.4 camber and 0 toe front and -1.8 camber rear. here are some after pictures, can't wait to see how handling is affected.

Well done! I run the same size tires and wheels (in my case C14s and R888s). Looks like the camber plates acheived real nice neg camber upfront...most of us seem to go with GT3 control arms w/ shims to get that kind of camber. Also, assuming you've got race pads and proper fluid, it sounds like your ready for track season!!

Now that you have such grip on the tires, are you doing something to the engine to avoid oil starvation during higher-G turns? (See factory owners' manual).

just hoping that factory warranty will cover it. I ran the 996 same setup and no problems. I think it depends on the track as well.

correct, never a problem at the track I run which is Sebring. But Daytona's high bank turns will oil starve a 996s or 997s engine.
