Default Greeting!!

Hi, everyone.
I got my new ride last week and glad to join here.
Mine is 2007 C2S and it has black/beige combination.
I love it and will never regret.
However, I have a significant question about the insurance.
Which company are you with now and what is the amount of monthly payment?
Progressive estimated $335 for a month with comprehensive $1,000 deductible. Is it really reasonable to you?
As you know, I'm new to p-car so have lots of questions here.
Anyway, I'll post some pictures of mine soon.
Thank you and drive safe.

GAWD! I pay less than that for all three cars with 1/2 that deductible. You must have a poor driving record or you live in NJ or MA perhaps?

Forget the question's about the car. My questions are:

What's your credit like?
How many accidents?
How many speeding tickets?
DUI/OUI's?

Loss of license? Suspensions?
Killed innocent squirrels while drivin?

Gone to 3rd base when you were clearly told - only boob!

No, not so much. Not unless you accidentally bought a Zonda. I pay about 1,100 to State Farm every year for mine.

I pay less than $1200/year for my Porsche thru Allstate. They were one of the few companies (other than Leland West) that provides this type of coverage for low mile, high end cars. Allstate's quote was better than L-W. I pay for full coverage, have a $500 deductible, but need to drive less than 5K miles/year, which for me hasn't been an issue. When I store the car in the winter, I just insure it for fire and theft and my premium drops to almost nothing during those months. So, unless you live in the "wrong state," have an awful driving record, or are around 15 years old, I can't understand why your premium should be so high. Good luck with the car!! Sounds like a gorgeous 997S.

Ouuch!! I pay about $110 per month. Besides FICO scores and driving record, age may also be an issue. And I have quite a few tickets, about 5 in the past 3 years.

I'm 23 and an international student.
Living in Philly.
Does it make sense then? Paying $335 for a month?
State Farm estimated $308 for a month.

Yep, young single male drivers with expensive cars pay through the nose, as their claims profile is horrible.
When I was a student, I drove an air-cooled rear engined car with bucket seats, stick shift, and streamlined body. It was a 57 VW. Cost: $700.

My insurance for an '89 Toyota Celica, in 1995 when I was a 24 yr old grad student in suburban Maryland, is about the same as my insurance now for a new-bought 997 in DC. Youngsters pay more! At least that is one benefit of getting older...
