If you read the warrenty stuff, it says to only
use certain tires. Even if you get the X51 baffles they are only good in a short turn.
If you are in a long bank sweeper forget it. To eliminate oil starvation get a dry sump
like a GT-3 or a Z-06.

The 997.2 now has 5 oil pumps, 1 in the center and 1 at each corner. The 997.1 has 3 and the GT3's & Turbo's have 6. Research the new 997.2 oil sump (video too) I think we're good now.
I read the Excellence magazine (Oct 08 issue, p.54). It says Porsche uses the infamous test rig to simulate up to 1.4g of cornering on the 997.2 engine.
Anyone knows how much g do slick tires generate in cornering?
Everything I have read indicates that the DI engines will be closer to a proper dry sump engine again. With $$ in mind they will doubtlessly use much of the same engine parts in the 997TT.2 cars and GT3.2 cars. With such internal safeguards I think you'll be cleared hot back to proper track tires!
