Those market adjustments are sweet. I'll take 2!

Just hope they did the installation right.

several years ago, when accura introduced the NSX, I drove upo in a jag XJS to look at the car, they wanted $5000 just to test drive the car! I have never gone back to an accura dealer since then.

That's precisely when I'd go to the VW dealer, get a GTI, chip it, and smack the **** out of every Mini I could find. Figures they sell them at BMW dealerships... You know what they say about porcupines and BMWs.

We are looking to replace our road-trip SUV, we were initially quoted MSRP +$1K on a new '09 Honda Pilot limited; within 2 hours they were offering a $3K discount. I must be out of the loop-- which Mini cooper model is commanding premiums over sticker ?

..& didn't they used to charge only $2.50 for nitrogen at 'Stones concerts?... oh wait a minute-- that was nitrous oxide

^^^ Must be a Republican stealership, ha!

But seriously, Mini's aren't getting a premium, for what?!

Take Chris's advice and try a GTI or A3.

Probably for the new clubman, ie MIni Wagon. I've heard of some dealers asking above sticker.

When I bought my sons Mini, we found a dealer in Portland who didn't mark the cars up at all. Ordered it over the phone, drove over and picked it up when it they got one. Easiest deal ever.

Minis are one of the few cars that are selling well right now due to the gas crunch. I suppose that if you want a fuel efficient car that isn't an econobox you have very few options so MINI is doing quite well right now. MINI, along with Honda, is one of the very few brands that is actually enjoying a jump in sales over last year's stats.
