Default Tubi Muffler Install Pricing

I got a quote from my dealer for installing a Tubi muffler on my 2006 997S. The quote was around $3700 and included a $500 adapter pipe they said was necessary in addition to the $2499 for the muffler. Other than the muffler, what parts do I need if I want to re-use my stock tips and install the muffler myself? I missed out on the group buy.

Sounds really high. I paid 2050 for my muffler on a group buy and 300 to put it on. Use the search function for tubi group buy and get the name of the shop in Miami to ship it to you.

I found the name and number for you.....Thomas Prado....Absolute motoring......1 800 680 6685.

Local dealer installed headers and mufflers in 5 hours. I do not know what they are talking about for a 500.00 adapter pipe. Does seems over the top. BTW, you will not be disappointed. They scream at 4k-7k and when your driving "normal" there are no cabin resonances and quiet.

Don't know why it would take 5 hrs to install headers and mufflers. I did it myself in about 90 min. without ever doing it before. 5 hrs, what a rip.

Tubi is expensive and Fabspeed or AWE mufflers sound just as good built just as good or better for well over $1000 less!

I have to disagree on the fabspeed build quality....Ive seen tips and mufflers with really crappy welds and not aligned properly.Having heard all three when I was debating my purchase I went with tubi.

The Tubi comes with the correct adapter piece when you order it... the S one is a little bigger to accept the stock tips.
Its a VERY easy DIY.. cost me the price of two Rhino Ramps (as these cars dont have jacks anymore :-()
Its about a 1 hr to 90 minute job. Worst bit is fitting the tip clamps over the new pipe... pretty tight fit.
It is a very nice sound :-)

Points, Gone through 2 sets of Fabspeed muffles 13,000+ miles on my cab no isses with welds fit or finish and the lates bolted right up and already have 3 DE's on them with no issues plus street driving.

If you want Tubi that is cool and I am not slamming them but there is not much difference for the extra $1300 you will spend over buying Fabspeed or AWE muffler cans.

Yep no argument just stating there are other choices with awesome quality out there for a lot less money...but...if someone has there heart set on Tubi mufflers I say go for it they sound nice...one of the more quieter mufflers on the market.

see ya! Mike
