Beautiful car. How do you like the smoked tail lights? Will you change them or stay with what you have. Once again congratulations.

Thanks, that is a good question. I'll have to think about it.

Just a personal opinion of course, but I'd change them back to standard...

Nice car!

I fixed it for you so all can easily see the photos.

That looks way too evil with the smoked out tail lights!

Leave 'em smoked. They look great (as does the rest of the car)!

Congratulations on the new 997, but sorry, if I'm being honest, I think the smoked out tail lights make it look like a ricer. I wouldn't say that if it wasn't an easy fix. Others may love it - maybe I'm nuts. Either way, I hope it brings you many pleasing miles.

the totally black look in the back looks OK, my neighbor had a black Carrera S with dark tinted tails. I personally wouldnt mind a LIGHT tint, but i think dark is a little much. Not only that its really not that safe for the road.

Other than that, I like the black wheels!

The car was a certified used deal. The previous owner put on the dark tailights. What is involved in switching back to red? Are there aftermarket tailights or will I have to go the dealer?

Thanks,

Congrats!

Sometimes the stock tail lights are simply covered with a tinted film, which you may be able to remove. The tail lights themselves are very easy to remove (check the manual) so you could check to see if they have been "wrapped."
