Nothing looks better than black when it is clean and detailed. It depends on your climate and whether your garage has a lot of dust. I had a black 996 and I had a love/hate relationship with the color. I am more neurotic than most about a clean car and avoiding swirl marks. I plan on buying a 997 when I complete a couple business transactions that are in the works, but it won't be black for me...I love the car in almost every color, so I might as well get a color which requires much less maintenance. Good luck in your decision.

How often to you think it needs to be power polished to keep it looking like liquid glass. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
Of course there is always Carrara White!

I don't mind putting in the work. I spent alot of time on my guards red 996, so it's no big deal. If I have to see my detailer more often, thats ok. I have to agree well maintained black paint looks great.

where do you live?, here in Ohio it is very difficult to keep a black car clean in the winter, so I went with GT silver, which "hides" salt and slush very well.

I live in Canada. Car is parked 6 months a year. Too much snow.
