Standard Black Car. Good or bad?
Hey, what do you guy's thing of basic black. I had a black car years ago, but used it as a daily driver. I remember it was a pain in the *** to keep clean. So, my new car will be a garage queen. Can it be kept looking great or is it one of those things that you just can't keep looking good. I would think it will need more power polishing. How often to you think it needs to be power polished to keep it looking like liquid glass. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

My 93 RS America was black, and I swore I'd never get black again (too much work to keep up). My 997S is black, and I love it - still a PITA to keep up but worth it! You can only do so much polishing, but you can keep all the wax on it you want.

Come back to the dark side!!!!
Yes it's a PITA, but the looks I get when it's all shiny with one of my "Swanky Shine" work done to it, it's very hard to ignore.
Just get paint film as well.

Black's the best color if you prefer keeping a low profile. I actually don't mind if it's dirty as long as there are no clear-coat-etching bird droppings. As far as keeping it spotless, I view the dust as being an added layer of protection because dirty cars draw less attention.

The reason silver is so popular today is because people woke up to the maintenance black demands. Anything lighter will be a lot easier to deal with. Since you state that you have a garage that's half your battle! Go for it,--but don't come whining back here when you get tired of washing and POLISHING that black car over and over again!
