Porsche website Targa color?
What color is the Targa 4 that featured on the porsche.com website?
http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-targa-4
Would this color be available as a "custom color" for a Carrera S?
What are the collective thoughts on this color? And, what interior?
Or any other custom colors?

It's a "custom color" designed by the Porsche design team for the Targa. The Targa web special was filmed in New Zealand, and the design team wanted to find a color that contrasted with the rugged terrain where the web special would be filmed. The color is called "Nordic Gold". It looks stunning in person on a Targa, but it is a bit flashy and not for everyone. I'd be curious to see how this color "ages" taste-wise over the years...
There's no reason why you can't have that color on any Porsche, if you don't mind paying for it.

Nordic Gold with Cocoa
Ms.Greta! You've seen a nordic gold targa with cocoa? I am thinking about purchasing exactly that someday. Any chance you can comment further on it? Do you have photos?

I've seen the Nordic Gold in the DC area. It was head-turning. If I were ordering a Targa 4, etc. right now, I would think seriously about paying for this custom color. My only nagging doubt is the same as Geof's comments about how it will age in terms of taste...

It's called Nordic Gold and it is GORGEOUS in person. It's a color to sample option that's available on any new 911 (according to my dealer). I was interested in it until I found out it is approximately $4000 for the paint. I have seen one on the road and it's an eye catcher.

Right now, it's beautiful. In 10 years, it will look dated. In 20, awful. In 30, people will be painting these classics to match it.

In 30 years environmental pressures will mean that only the most thick skinned of us will still be driving our Porsches. So forget what your car will look like in 10 or 20 years and buy for today.

We'll all be pushing our Porsches in a considerably lesser time than that, I suspect. In 30 years all of our Porsches will have already been melted down and made into electric Fiestas.

I once had a 1971 BMW 2002 in pumpkin orange and recently saw an older 1970ish 911 in a similiar orange color. I would love to have that old 2002 again and I think that the 911 looked great. I think that the Nortic Gold will age great too!!

Honda / Acura used a similar colour for the NSX about 4-5 years ago. At the time I thought it looked the mutt's nuts, now it just looks odd (IMHO). Same with the first 350Zs, same colour.
I'm not sure it would stand the test of time, even for a few years.

Barrier Porsche in Bellevue sold one that color too, but I don't know what color his interior is. I have seen it a few times at the dealer and will take a pic if I see it again.
