Default Getting clear side markers tomorrow

Called local dealer and says they are 25$ for each side and they'll put them on for me. I assume that comes with the amber bulb as well.

So $50 for my first Porsche mod, does that sound too good to be true?

I think they list at $27.00? My sales guy puts them on ALL Pcars that he sells for "free". Takes about two min each to remove and install.

Buy them from Suncoast Porsche and put them on yourself...easy mod. Clear lens do not come with bulbs..get side marker bulbs from Hoen-USA...silver coated but fire orange

May I ask a very polite question: Why are clear side markers considered a requirement by many participants on this forum?

I put the clear side markers on my car the day I got it. I've never liked the look of the orange lights. The clear looks so much better in my opinion on all colors and pretty inexpensive to do.

My clear markers from suncoast came with amber bulbs. I left those in as they are hardly noticeable.

Carlsen had them for $29 for the pair last week when i giot mine.

Dont just rip them out, there is a hole in the wheel well to compress the spring clip.

Its very easy

Got it! Not sure if I am worthy of tribe membership- haven't broke 75mph or 4500rpm yet!

I've been thinking about doing this as well. I'm very anti-mod (I'm not a teenager), but this one mod I may consider doing.

Quick question for all you experts: so the lens gets changed, that I understand...what's this about bulbs? What color is the original bulb, and what do you change it to when you switch to the clear lens? Thanks.

You get the whole lamp, lens and bulb assembly for ~$30/pair.

You just unclip the electrical contact (push it in to unclip if i remember).
Very easy !
It looks so much better on both my 996 and 997 (grey and sliver)
