The driving events weren't too bad either!
The instructors were fantastic. I had good quality time with Cass Whitehead and Brian Cunningham on the track and Daniel Eastman, Sherman Engler and Andrew Davis on the Skidpad and Autrocross. Also got a few minutes of chat-time in w/ Mr. Haywood. Boy is that a nice track!!

Andrew, were you driving C2 non S with 18" wheels on the track ?
Sure looks that way, aslo they were all manuals right?
DR.Z
Yes to both questions.
From what I am told, they do have a couple Tiptronics available but I believe everyone drove manual. In addition, all of the 911's had sport exhausts....which sounded sweet on the track to say the least!
A C2 (S or not) is truly wonderful track weapon. I also really like the Cayman ....we were doing lane change excercises with one and it handled exceptionally well.
The wife definitely gave me a good birthday present this year.
Hi Andrew. I am taking my brother there in October for his b-day so glad to hear things went well. Did they have any 4's? If not, did the instructors comment on how to drive the 4 differently when going through the exercises? Many thanks.

The only 4-wheel drive vehicle I saw there was the Cayenne......and there was no mention of different driving characteristics of the C4/S. A few guys in the group owned 4's and one a Turbo and they seemed right at home in the C2. In any event, with PSM on it shouldn't make much difference on a dry track. With PSM off on the Skid-Pad, well, that's a different ball game.
I went back in March for the 2 day school and learned a ton! You drive a C2 on the track for the 1st day and most of the 2nd day. You drive a C2S w/PCCB's on the second day for 1 of your track sessions. They have both 6 speeds and Tiptronics for the track, lane change and autoX cars.

Thanks for posting this information. Did you take the one day class or the two day?

I attended the 1-day course. Couldn't get away for the 2-day....my job is crazy and I have a 1-year old at home. Luckily the guys in my group had some track experience, so Cass got us up to speed on the track rather quickly. We also won the Autocross challenge!
Anyway, from what I'm told, the 2-day is the one to do if your schedule/life/budget permits...
