By mere appearance, would anything indicate the car has the Carrera Power Kit (X51)? Thanks.

And the PSE exhaust tips. Right?

X51 cars have the sport exhaust as well.
The dual intake CF air box is the giveaway. But if you can't get under the hood...if it has the exhaust, third radiator, and a manual transmission, it's an X51. If it's an automatic, no way to know for sure from the outside.

Re: third radiator ... Where does the heated air flowing over the third radiator exit to when you don't have the GT3 top-side vent in the bumper cover? Is that air path also present in the GT3 except that some of the air goes up and out?

You can add a third radiator to a manual transmission 997/997S. the airbox can apparently be retrofitted. The most method to determine the presence of the X-51 kit would be to run the VIN. Good for all but a dealer installed kit, which is probably quire rare.

There is actually no certain way to tell because many are adding the X51 headers and even the carbon fiber airboxes without adding the X51 heads (the most expensive element and largest contributor to the power gain). The third radiator adds a significant weight penalty to a non-X51 car so I would not expect a person retrofitting this and that to an S would add the third radiator (non-Tiptronic) unless they were in Texas, or someplace equally hot.

Glad I had that extra radiator today.
