We've done both Post (in a tree house) and Ventana. They were both top notch, but if doing it again, I'd go for PR again and shoot for ocean view. Either way, you can't go wrong. Both have great restaurants and top notch service. Another cool place is Deetjens. We haven't stayed there but did dine one evening and it was excellent as well. Big Sur is one of my favorite places on Earth - simply stunning.
