Question OT: Does anyone know Porsche sales by state?

Does anybody know where I can find the sales numbers for Porsche cars by U.S. state or even by city? Do they even publish those? Thanks!

I'm in Idaho, When I picked up my car in January the salesman told me that they ( the only dealer in Idaho) had sold 80 Porsches in 2006. I would assume that a few of those went out of state, and a few were purchased by Idaho residents in other states. Of course the majority of those sales were probably Cayennes.

Many years ago the number were that 50% to the USA and 50% of those to California.

The numbers to the USA are now down from that significantly,--there are many propering economies overseas that weren't several years ago.

I suspect the 50% of USA sales going to California figure may be about the way it was, due to weather, etc.

Roughly 50% of the total production of cars and suv's went to N.A. all else went to the rest of the world; and not surprisingly A LOT went to Germany.

The sales numbers per state won't tell you much, if not just support what you've suspected. A lot are sold in CA and Florida. But ALL dealers sell out of state. Nature of the beast.

The second largest dealer is in North Scottsdale (at least in North America).

I've got a car coming into PNO, but what does this post mean, bro? I'm sure they are not the largest dealer in NA.

I was only joking around...we know where we stand in regards to the those super large dealers where they sell 50 911's a month...
...but you keep your eyes on us...we're getting there!

Monthly there is a spreadsheet that is sent to the dealers by PCNA that lists their sales and their ranking.
If you are on GOOD terms with your dealer perhaps they will show it to you.

If one could study this, the sales by state could be determined, it would be a PIA...why bother?
