Default Woohoo! Dealer says my Porsche has arrived.

My dealer called to tell me that my Porsche arrived! He said it's awesome looking and will send pics to me. Should I ask him to align the wheels for max tire wear? They will be detailing it and taking extra special care to be gentle with the paint. Should I have them install the short shifter and clear film? OMG, I'm so excited!

Good news indeed, Laura! ... What a wonderful weekend you will have!

Don't know about making the alignment request. Don't know if it'll make a difference.

As for the sport shifter, you can always get that added later. If you request it now, the car may not be ready until Monday.

If you're getting a clear bra, the wax must first be stripped. Let them know not to wax it until after the clear film is installed, if you've decided to go with the dealer for the clear bra.

I'm so happy for you! ... It's been like forever, and probably feels like it too, huh?

If you want the shifter, I'd have them install prior to rolling off the lot. Also I would get them to put on the clear markers if you haven't picked them up yet... better if they throw it in as a gift. . My dealer gave me the colored crests for the wheels.

As for the film, if you're in California, I'd call Sam at Premier. At a minimum get the custom bumper, lights, and partial fenders and hood done. If you like driving up close to cars, then I'd go with full fender and hood protection IMHO>

In any case, congratulations! It's a great ride!

Lori, is there still snow on the ground? ... If so, make sure you rinse off any salt from the roads.

Oh wait, it's Groundhog Day isn't it?

Only six more weeks of winter.....one way or the other.

Here are two pictures that my salesman sent me. I can't wait to pick up my baby.

We didn't get much snow here. Just a flurry or two. The weather is rotten though. It's cold and rainy.

Lori,

Don't mess with the alignment yet. Drive the car the way you will normally drive it and see how it goes. You may find that it will be fine as it is.

Your car looks so cool. Make sure your dealer put clear side markers on for you. Congrats.

Congrats on the car! Clear side markers will look great on that car. Good choice on getting model designation painted! I think the shifter is fine, but it is personal preference on the short shifter choice! Nice looking car!
