That car is evil hot! The blacked-out carrera sports look fantastic. I'm pictuting Kate Beckensale's character from the movie "Underworld" driving it right now I'd wait on the alignment and shifter until you give it a go the way it is. Anyway, congrats and enjoy your new beauty.

Congratulations also on becoming a Rennlist Member Lori!
Why not introduce yourself to the other gals in the OT thread on Women of Rennlist. The thread was started yesterday and already it's a raging coming out party for all the gals on Rennlist. We had no idea there were so many women here - they're coming out of the woodwork I tell ya. It's a gab-fest that's for sure. And we thought women only gabbed away when together in person!

You can come as you are, or you can put together a signature, now that you're able to, being a member and all.

Car looks slick. Congrats. Painted rims are excellent. Dark color exterior paint without some sort of protection is asking for trouble. imho. After your first paint defect you will regret not getting the coverage. Short shifter could be done later but wouldn't it be covered by the cars warranty as it would if done before taking delivery. If you plan on having it done anyway, I would just do it now. Even if it delays picking it up a day or so. Easy for me to say.
Cheers.

Ok, here are a few more pics that my salesman took at the dealership. When I get it I'll take more pictures. The clear bra was installed yesterday and the sport shifter is supposed to be going in today.

Yes, I am. Every day I look at the pictures. I can't wait to actually see my Porsche in person and start the motor and hear the exhaust rumble.

My dealer is giving me clear markers. The only thing I worry about with tint is that maybe the Porsche sticker on the rear window won't show up through it. I like that little detail alot.

It does show just fine if your tint is light. The only thing I am sceptical about is the following: The edge of our windows has little balck dots, which are on the inside of the dash. As they are a bit bulging on the inside, the tint film cant really stick on them the same like it does on the flat glass. That is why you will notice that in cars with a tint the rear side windows appear to have a light shade/line around them. The same will happen to the rear window. The solution is to keep trying with a credit card type plastic wrapped in tissue or a napkin to go over those areas over and over 2-3 days after the install as the water dries from under the film, and over and over, till your back aches! That rear window is hard to get all around the edges. So the sign will be visible in the rear window, but there will be two lines of lighter grey leading around the rear glass and they will stop right around the Porsche decal.
(Yes I had the same thought as you)
You can kinda see it here all around the rear quarter windows in my car. Its not that obvious as I have really worked over the area.
My tint is 34% so as you can see from this angle its not that dark.

Check out this thread HERE , look at the first pictures. You will see what I mean immediately as it is more pronounced (either a fresh tint or a dark film) and look at the pic of the rear window, you see the lines that stop right at the Porsche letters?

Hey Lori, you mean your car's been here for about a week now and you haven't gone to see it yet???

Guess in your case, for as long as you've been waiting (what, a year and a half now?), what's another week, eh?

Btw, how ya liking the OT Forum? Lotta fun, huh?
