Default Fog Lights as Daytime Running Lights?

No sport Chrono pkg, but I would like to have the fogs wired to be able to turn on as DTRL's Possible or way too much work?

You can manually turn them on yourself....

Ya DD ..but my wife turns on the Farmer's brake light too. It would still be nice to config fogs to come on w/o thought.

you definetely need the schems. once you find the relay that drives the fogs and cut the power source (usually comes from the head lights) and then you splice a wire from a switched v source (usually cig lig works best) to drive the fogs relay.

voila DD using fogs.

this is exactly what i did to my Z.

You can have the daylight running lights on the car which, I believe, are not the Bi-Zenons. They're rigged to go on for me with my Key #2. The dealership should be able to configure that for you in a few minutes, since you have no Sports Chrono.

Why bother?

It only increases fuel consumption. But that may not be a concern.

[QUOTE=OCBen]Why bother?

Small frontal area, hard to see car in a region with some of the least attentive drivers I've seen. Better visability by others, and I don' want the taillights and side lights on. Personal choice.

the front fog lights areBi-Xenon ( I think it's a good thing) I use them for daytime driving on a regular basis. The rear fog lights are not they're the same light as brake light. Not to get off the subject but I'm havib a problem with the rear fog lights. The right fog light does not brightin when I turn them on(checked and doubled checked the bulbs. If anyone has an idea on what it might be let me know.

I think the DRL (whether turned on by you w/ SC or turned on by the dealer) are the full powered headlamp either halogen or bi-zenon whichever is installed.

The fog lamps are halogen bulbs. Also the rear fog lamp is just one side of the car not both lamps.

USA cars only have an active rear fog on the driver's side.

Ben,--in Japan they like to turn off their headlights at intersections while awaiting the green. (power savings!) lol

Sorry it is a halogen H8 . The rear fog is just one light but it's the same as the brake light P21/4w The brake light brightens when you step on the brake . I assume the foglight will when you pull the switch . My problem Is that only one side gets bright and I am positive it's not the bulb.
