Default Azurro California Metallic - No Longer "Exclusive" to Club Coupe

According to the Porsche website - you can now order a Boxster S in Azurro California Metallic, the color that was supposed to be "exclusive" to the 997 Club Coupes.
While not completely surprising Porsche would do this (they've done it before), Club Coupe owners have a right to be PO'ed.

That color looks great on a Boxster though.

Why be PO'd? no one would confuse the Club Coupe and a Boxster.

Any CC owners remember what Porsche said (promised?) about the ACM paint when the Club Coupes were announced?
I seem to remember that the color was not to be used on any other cars.

Maybe that was a "club boxster" in celebration of 51st Anniversary of PCA. Next year will be "club cayenne".....

Hey, if Porsche can sell a few more Boxsters this way they will. Never confuse 'Porsche' with 'exclusive.'

If you want really exclusive pick some esoteric color that no one else would ever be caught dead in.

I'm sure PCNA and PAG said they would not offer it in reference to the 911's. They didn't promise however that they'd not produce it for the cayman, boxster, or cayenne. LOL

Sh*tty move if you ask me, and I sell them.

I remember that they said there would not be any my06 cars produced in azurro. We assumed that meant the color would be available on future cars.
Heck, it's an awesome color. We 49 owners can be proud to share it!

BTW, that 928 in the link from Mrbonus is the same color as my dad's 1957 dodge was. It was two tone in cream over that weird turquoise green thing. That color was awful, imho.

Rotten mother f*$%@#s. I rather liked the fact that I had rare color. Oh well I still grin from ear to ear when I see it shining in the sun

Oh well. Sort of too bad, but what can you do?
Really suits the top down fun of a boxster though.

At least they don't make Fountain Blue a standard color or I'd be shi**ing bricks out of envy. International metallic color code W41, saw it on a Porsche promo site but never in person.

I've had my share of bluish cars but this color took the cake, a mix of polar silver and a touch of topaz blue, sexy as hell.

Trying to dig up a good pic of it right now....still wondering why I didn't fork up an extra 5k for that color

Found it: (interior tan doesn't match with exterior color imo but still nice, and wheels are color to match in the pic)

Kurt - agreed, the Fountain Blue is an AWESOME color that would look great with a full leather Sea Blue interior.

And we have a number of Azzurro accessories available when you get the car: Azzurro upper door trim, Azzurro Door Plugs, Azzurro rear center consoles, Azzurro Ignition Surrounds, etc.
