sounds like the wires are uplugeed
open circut means the car doesnt see the struts
so the wires are damaged or unplugged
I Would deffinatly blame the installer i

deffianlty not a warrenty deal

Everybody read this the next time you want to save a buck and go to joes garage intstead of the dealer

I would question the dealer as to why the entire strut needs to be replaced over a cut wire.

This is not "Joes Garage", they do a large amount of servicing and work on Porsche (as well as Labo, and Lotus), they are also a Techart and Ruf Dealer. The local Porsche dealer won't do this work and since I am in Canada and my car is from US origin, they really don't want to help out.

I am unsure what will happen in the next few days with this but I am sure that it will work itself out.

The wire is not cut, it has been inspected by the local dealer and they say that the shock is gone, I am sure that the wire was the first thing the installer checked before even throwing in the towel.

PASM failure is not that uncommon according to my dealer after a lowering job.
In one instance an installer pluged in the PASM wires backwards.

Hope all gets sorted out.

Ummm. Ben... It's a not so nice way to say the guys at the shop are getting friendly...

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I had originally looked into lowering springs, but when my car arrived and I couldn't clear driveways with the 997S stock suspension I knew lowering was no longer an option.

Been there done that with the '05 S. RUF did the install. Shop foreman at Boardwalk said I should put on the shorter shocks from the new GT3 if I'm going to run lower springs. Both stock rears were totally shot.

I've heard that if you use shorter springs that you will damage and wear out the shocks very fast.

Is there a way to order from Porsche the Euro spec shorter shocks and springs for a PASM car?

If you want to do the job right and have improved performance as well as looks you have to go with the coil over type set up. Not cheap at about $4000 for the Bilsteins and $5500 for the Techart.

The Shocks that were installed at RUF came from the Client - NOT RUF !!!!!!!!
