I won't bill you but you can thank me later for the mental stimulation I provided you - time that you would have otherwise spent watching boring reruns in the pathetic existence you call your life.
Oil Change Ben. I'll take it, thank you very much. At least it's an improvement over my former moniker.

Actually I agree with you Ben. I didn't do it and I doubt it will make much difference in the long run. But your argument holds water.
I have TIVO so I was still able to enjoy my favorite episodes last night.

Retirement at the relatively young age of 53 is a bitch; all that free time along with an income to do whatever you want can be vexing. I’m obviously jealous of guys like you that get up every morning and go to work for their money instead of having their money work for them.
Looking back, if only I had done something with my life maybe I could have bought a car as well equipped as yours.

Ah Hell I was going to make some popcorn but I just realized how late it is. I need to get some shut eye but you can be sure I will be checking back tomorrow.
Just my $.02 but given the relatively low price of an oil change why not just be safe and do a change after the break-in period. Also, if you are not comfortable with Porsche's recommendation of changing the oil every 20,000 miles(15,000 for my 996) then simply do a change every 7,500 - 10,000 miles or every 1 - 1.5 years(whichever comes first) and sleep better at night.
BTW, I do not claim to be an automotive expert but I am a P-Car(and F-Car) phanatic if that counts for anything.
Now back to the FEATURE PRESENTATION.

I had one dealer that had time in the AM change the oil.
You can bet I'll do it myself next time. $334.00???? Oil @ $10.88 a quart.
And I didn't get the nice crystal decanters the Mobil 1 came in. Geez
Anyway, never can hurt changing the oil early or as often as you like. Oils cheap, engine replacement costly!
When I had the Lexus SC430, I had the oil changed every 3K miles with Mobil 1 as well. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Deanski
