I understand what you are saying but it really helps the car's looks the leather options, to spend 3 grand getting rid of some plastic seems reasonable. Its hard to get oneself to spend money on things that should come leather from the factory but what can you do. If all you want is performance then the interior makes no difference but if you buy a 997 as a luxory GT, why not improve the interior. The interior is part of the enjoyment of the car.

I set up mine with the full leather seats, rear center console hatch cover in leather w/ model insignia, door finishers, dome light, sun visors, and instrument surround. The first four I would order again but the latter two I would not as those two are all but invisible.

I did not order the center console in leather out of the belief that the center console takes a beating from cuff links, watch bands, jacket cuff buttons, etc. So, to avoid possible leather damage, I ordered the console in tougher aluma look.

And, to share what I've learned, the door finishers look great in leather but they can be torn while simply opening the latch. For example, if you wear a Breitling or other 40mm+ sized watch, it is easy to tear the leather on the door finishers with the watch bezel as you pull the door latch open... I've done it and it ruined my day.

LOL That was Leslie Nielsen to Priscilla Pressley, right? ... Funny movie.

I always wondered if the "stuffed" part was a double entendre on purpose.
