Default Question about rear wing

Will the 997TT rear wing fit a regular 997 or 997S? I have seen aftermarket 996TT wings where the supplier indicates it will fit non TT 996's. Just wondering if the same holds true for the 997. If so, I would assume the "up and down" feature the 997TT has with the wing would not work with the regular 997 or 997S, no?

I can't believe that out of 200+ people on here and 6speedonline that have read this thread not one person knows the answer to the question.

Come on people help a brother out.

you would need a turbo decklid for starters, And then the hydrolics which is what the wing mounts to which is about 1200$ alone. IVe neevr tried a turbo lid on a narrow body car but i dont think it would fit

Guess that shows how many 997 and 997S owners are interested in putting a TT wing on their cars. Zero.

Thanks for the info. I am looking at a 997 purchase next year and definately want a wing on the back but not as big as a GT3 or GT2 type. I will continue my search.

Once again, thanks for the insight.

Whatever man. Not looking for smart azz comments. Just some facts and/or insight which 99firehawk was kind enough to give me. I could give a rat's *** what you think a 997(s) owner would want. Opinions are like ********.

I am pretty sure that it will not fit. You may be able to do a search on the topic, seems that I read about this some time ago. Good Luck.

I wanted to put a turbo rear wing on my car too, but I'll just wait till an aftermarket version comes out which I'm sure it will because there are 996 turbo spoilers available for 996's.

Wow, I was actually trying to explain why the lack of responses.

Simple fact, nobody has investigated, the one reply was hardly insightful (no offense firehawk), if you couldn't have come up with that on your own your not that smart.

Don't think that torrent of abuse was called for, hopefully you'll calm down a bit when you get the 997.

A repsonse other than just being a smartass would have worked better. Your reply insinuated that my question was on the "not that smart" side. Hense, my "torrent" response.

Now you want to question my level of intellect?

LOL, not at all. Seriously.

I'm sure you had worked out those bits but were being polite in thanking the poster.

Hope you end up with the 997 the way you want it.

fyi,

amerlemans the regular 997 wing can be up all the time if you want. Not as aggressive looking as the 997tt wing but as others have stated I dont think the 997TT wing will fit on a 997 or 997S unless its the 4 or the 4s.

Try the aftermarket fabricators. Anziano's has some pretty slick wing options for 997s. I personally like their 996 GT2 wing adapted for the 997, but can't really justify it to myself.
