Question Auto Up

Passenger window auto up feature only works when window is more than 50% up; it does not matter if I try it from the driver's door or the passenger side. I tried the reset procedure without success. Anyone know if this is something that can be reprogrammed or is the regulator defective?

Interesting Porsche actually designed the psngr window to operate in this manner; my 06 E55 did not have this idiosycrasy nor does my 05 Touareg

The passenger side window "quirk" on 997 coupes doesn't make sense. If it were "for safety reasons" as has been stated here, then the Cabriolets would operate that way, too.
If there's a logic to the coupe's passenger window not being one-touch-up (except past the half-way point) while the Cab's is true-one-touch, I wish Porsche would let us in on it.

My 06 Cab operates the same way. No one touch for the Px window unless it is about 50% raised already.

But, when the top is down, I believe I remember it being one-touch.

On Mrs. Leader's 987 the passenger's window is one-touch UP/DOWN whether the top is up or down.
And you're saying the 997 Cabs are not that way?
I think Porsche is just messin' with us.

I don't think I've had a German car where one or two windows behave like they are supposed too. The left rear window never goes up when you lower the top. You have to jack it up with several button pushes. Next time I'm at the dealer I'll see if he can fix it.

Your window needs to be reset. Push 'down' all the way....hold for TEN seconds. Push 'up' all the way...hold for TEN seconds. Should solve it.
