Spirited driving & nagging wife
Ok this is really getting under my skin. Does anyone else have a spouse that gets upset when you do anything considered "spirited" driving? Any turn above minivan speeds, redline accelerations onto the highway, or an occasional quickie to 110mph before exiting highway, etc. they all seem to get her upset. I might as well take the Honda when we're going somewhere together.
**edit: ok I swear there was 4th option. I don't know where it went.

Well if she's not comfortable, why do it? I'm sure you respect your wife but why make her upset by driving hard when you know she doesn't like it? Some people just don't feel comfortable at speed.
Or maybe she thinks you're just a lousy driver?

I can not answer the pole because I only nailed it once with her in the car and will never do it again. We have been married 39 years and I want to make to 40. We are partners in business as well as marriage. I have the car I want and she has the car she wants which costs less than 1/2 the price of mine. I will drive as she likes to please her.

My wife has been tested to 165 mph without incident. Occasionallly I hear the "OK, OK" which tells me she'd rather I slow down a bit.

Remember, the passenger seat travels about 30 mph faster than the driver's seat ;-) I learned that on the track when I rode "shotgun" with Kim Crumb driving my 928 GT.

Mine loves it until I come up on traffic a bit faster than she likes. UNLESS she is doing the driving and the reverse is true.
In fact, she thinks I take it too easy in turns, when she drives it she corners it like it's built to do. I tell her "I'm saving the tires"

Ex-wife complained about my driving, but drive just as fast or faster herself, wrecked two of my cars.
Current long term gf is pretty relaxed about it, though it'll be interesting to see what happens when I finish teaching her to drive stick

Having a 997s, I'm pretty good about taking corners and drifting the rear--she likes that but it scares her a bit. I do it allllllll the time. Absolutey love having a C2.
