Default Okay Here's the Newest addition

Okay I got her today..went in for pickup after cleaning up my previous vehicle for trade and there she was waiting for me. Took the Mrs and she liked it too...even sat in it when I could pull her away from the Speed Yellow Cayman S with yellow dials/tach and belts that she was coveting! LOL

Anyway I gave up my 02 BMW M3 coupe (43k miles) and 99 996 C2 coupe (50k miles) for an 05 Artic Silver Coupe with 9500k miles. Hated to give up the M3 but couldn't give up the Porsche by any means (the wife had suggested a 645i to replace them both). In any event she wanted to clear up garage and valuable driveway space as well as to have me dedicate my efforts and mods to ONE car NOT THREE! Also she pointed out that with the new house being built valuable $$ resources were being diverted by my passion(s) which could go to my new home theatre room instead. Now that got my attention...So it was okay in the end! I ended up with a pretty much almost even trade considering I got all my mods/aftermarket equip off both cars (most are already sold via ebay or spoken for) and I only came out pocket about $5k-6K for difference plus taxes/title transfer and all.

So hey I am happy...now let the mods begin...ipod intergration 1st! Thoughts anyone? Here's the pics of my daughter and me and the new 997 and my old 996 too (bye old freind).

Congrats on your new ride - looks nice. Go out and ENJOY it.
BTW, that's a very cute kid-in-a-Porsche pic.

Beautiful ride, just wait until she can reach those pedals, then you'll really be in trouble!

My son already knows the difference between a BMW and a Porsche! He can tell from the signs and emblems as well as body styles and he's 7! So I am fearful that in oh 6 years I will definately be in trouble. Here's a pic of that lovely Cayman S that my wife was coveting as well as my former M3.

I am thinking of keeping the BSW wheels which I had on my 996 and putting them on the new 997...any thoughts? Either that or I'll sell them. They're 18" like those on my 997 so the fit should be the same you'd think.

Congrats on getting the 997. Your daughter is very cute! 1st mod suggestion... clear side markers to eliminate the "pumpkin" look. I think the BSW wheels would look good on your 997. Oh, and the Speed Yellow Cayman would look good in the garage next to the 997!

Already ordered the clear side markers last night from SunCoast Porsche online for $29.95! Should have them in hand next week early. Shouldn't be that hard of a DIY mod. Front plate would LOVE to ditch but unfortunately up here on the East Coast most states including mine require them by law! I've seen a carbon fiber shifter and brake handle at Carnewal for the 997. Also have seen the aluminum shifter and handle option too but they are out of their minds on the price for those!

I think I should keep my 18" BSW wheels since they have Pirelli P-Zero Nero A/S on them at the same size I believe that are on my 997 from my old 996 and could be a good swap out when things get chill and slick here on the East Coast since the 997 came with OEM Conti-Sport Contact 2's. Would that pose a problem for set up of the car since I do have the PASM? Anyone?
