Default Floor mat question in the 997's

Are the floor mats in the 997 velcored down to the floor? I seem to recall in my 05 Boxster that the mats were fastened to the floor with a velco type fastener. The mats in my 06 Cab aren't.

Thanks.

They should be...those prep guys screwed-up...didn't install the supplied pieces

There should be two 2" dia plastic discs on each seat side, that get screwed into the carpet at about the seat rail position to which the mats velcro themselves to.

Thanks. That's what I thought.

Though with Dan noting his Cab doesn't have them, I wonder if it's a Cab vs. Coupe thing since the floor mats are different between the two cars due to the Subwoofer placement.

I have a 2006 C4S Cab, and was handed the box with the aforementioned plastic disks in it, should I wish to use them with the floor mats. You should have them.

I use some non slip rubber pads - the ones sold at home depot and grocery stores - under the mats to keep them from moving. works well and offer a plusher feel for feet. Just an idea.

Thanks. I just emailed my dealer. I suspect this got dropped in the cars prep. I'm not surprised given the less than stellar detailing job they did as well...

Those little velcro discs are the greatest thing since sliced bread.. sliding floormats are really annoying.

Yes, you get rear floor mats. (That is if you got the $115 optional floor mats - includes front and rear.)

OT a little, but one of my big pet peeves is Porsche dealers (and most dealers) having minimum wage people shuttling these $100K cars around and prepping them like they were a $9k Hyundai.

Couldn't agree more, I found that to be the case with the my new Cab.
