Looking for a good way to get some track time in either TN or NC. I have been to PDE (loved it), but I have a buddy with an '85 911 who has never been on a track and insists he must use his own car. I'd track mine too.
Theres a DE at Carolina Motorsports Park in Oct with the Carolinas Region
Theres a DE with the Mid South Region in Sept
A DE at Barber with the Alabama Region in June
A DE at Barber with Chin Motorsports in July.
if you do not mind spending some $$$ get yourself a set track wheels and tires. Well worth it. The stock tires will do great but you will take a lot of life out of them even with one event. Chin events get you a lot of track time for one day. Have a blast and be safe.

Never tracked my car, so I am new to this. Is it any better to have an extra set of wheel than just expecting to put a new set of tires on after the day of hard driving? I have a set of Pilot Sports on the car that will have plus/minus 3K miles on by then. (I'm okay with knowing I'll need new ones after race day).
You won't need new tires after one event. But if this is your first time, chances are you will get hooked like most
This not something you need right away but keep it in mind for future especially as you will get better, tires make a huge difference. I had a set of Toyo RA1 on my race car and it was the best upgrade I had done. I just wish they had these tires for our cars in 19s. Might just go with 18s for the S.
