Obviously my 993 (like Marc's 964) doesn't have an electronic oil display, but like every other vehicle I've owned, I just go into the Setup of the display and scroll to the oil settings. If you hit Reset and hold, it goes to 100%. Perhaps it is a similar procedure.

You do not have to reset.
Just drain and refill.

You do need the PIWIS tester to reset the service reminder

Hey thanks a lot. That is what I was hoping to hear.

My stubbornness will not let me go with those 20K recommended intervals. Going to change next week at 1000 miles or so then at 6K intervals.

My last P-car was a 964, any major differences in oil changing from air to watercooled?

So does that mean a trip to the dealership to have it reset?

Thanks.

I'll second that. I am planning on changing the oil at the one year mark.
