From my informal survey of cab owners the consensus has been:

1. Keep the top closed when you aren't driving around as a closed top helps to stretch the wrinkles back out.

2. Get used to them as they don't really go away entirely and its just part of owning a cab. Look around and you'll see that most have them but you just didn't notice it before you owned one. Only you and other cab owners that are bothered by it will notice them.

Keep the top up as much as yoy can. They will stretch and eventually smooth out.

If wrinkles don't come out when top is up in the sun, I wash car in shade and soak top through the canvas protective spray. After drying car I let top dry in the sun and the wrinkles go away as it helps canvas stretch a bit. Of course wait until water dries before putting top back down again.

I've always been able to get rid of them by simply parking the car in the sun with the top up. The wrinkles are typically gone within a few hours.

You have wrinkles and you have chafe marks. Learn to live with them. That's why I got black top on my 986S (harder to see them). You can try to spray the chafe marks with 100% pure silicone spray. That's what I do hoping the fiber wear will be slowed.

I agree with Mo. I wash my 997S cab and leave it in the sun following a dry and the wrinkles are gone in now time. I live in Dallas so it gets hot enough to straighten hair. My two cents...

Good to hear that the heat works as I haven't had warm enough weather yet to try that out.

I guess I have to leave the top up more, as it seems that that the top is down the majority of the time, except for the hours when I am at work. Good to hear the the wrinkles come out.

Did the water and Sun technique this afternoon. It is still out there in the Sun and 98 percent of the wrinkles are gone. Tks!
