Software engineer specializing in computer networking. There's a good chance the bits you're seeing on your screen have gone through a router I worked on.

Nahhh, that really wouldn't interest me. Now, doing vids might. The adult entertainment variety kind. I sure wouldn't have to worry about what to wear to work then!

Ha, ha, good one! The CIA is watching us!

Ben, I always thought you had a law degree. Not sure where that came from. I'm looking to make a change, too. Usually I move every three to five years, and I'm approaching that limit...

I went with lawyer because is was my last degree earned and because I actually still practice some. I also am an economist (gotta love the dismal science) and do tech support because computers are my hobby and I am not afraid to mess with the settings to see what happens. I have so far show enough wisdom to ask for help before I have royally screwed anything up. Oh yeah, I work for a publishing company.

I guess that adds up to jack-of-all-trades. A nice cascade skill for those of you who played Traveller back in the ‘70's and 80's.

I have a coworker who offers to leave the room whenever I’m working on her Mac. She thinks her Mac needs some kind of physical contact and has from time to time suggested same. I have not explained volume mounting yet . . .

No, not an attorney, though I might seem to play one here on occasion...some might say in a prosecutorial role.

Oh, strictly on the business side of things, of course.

That might be a bit too technical for her. I think if you keep it simple she'll understand the tech talk a lot easier, like starting first by explaining male & female connectors. And if she happens to take a sudden interest in the technical discussion, well, that should clear up any confusion you might have.
