Good Luck........... I will be very interested to hear how you are doing.
Do you have the Nav Module. If you do what cable did you order to accommodate both connections.
unfortunately with the complexity of the PCM I have to use the dealer.
BTW. Which receiver did you get XM or Sirius?

Help!!...After Porsche installed the new Receiver and Cable......the GPS nav works like it should.
but the XM channel will not change from 4 "the forties". I have tried everything and reset the Radio and the PCM . I have tried to set a new channel from the frequency mode on the PCM. No matter what I do I cannot get off that damn channel. This is exactly what happened before!! The channel comes in beautifully but thats it. Whenever I change to any other channel it automatically goes back to #4.
I don't have a manual on this receiver. Does anyone have any suggestions,
So close but so far,
Thanks,
Lockie

One Channel
That's odd... It may be due to the PCM software, but if you have the latest, I do not see why it cannot scan beyond that channel area. Unless the SID is not being seen by XM correctly.
I'd call XM, verify the SID and then if they say they have your SID, find a way to get someone to verify it off the antenna side from XM as well. They need to see the last time it hit the satellite. I'm not sure how Porsche translates the SID to "unlock" it so you can use it.
However, you DO have a channel. I'd still verify all SID and other related items to make sure XM is transmitting to that SID and have Porsche verify the SID as well, just don't go by what was stamped on the darn thing.
