IMO Too messed up; the rear bumper. I was hoping those excessively wide useless tailpipe slots would disappear. The CGT looks muuuuuch more interesting. This car is looking Japanese. Here's a 911/CGT amalgam.

I like the simple lines of the Carrera more, but then I am obviously biased...

They really need to bring back the classic 993TT rear wing for a better look in the turbo!

How fitting, tippy magic tronic on the U.S. test car for the poseur U.S. drivers who don't even have the little coordination required to drive a stick shift car.

Tippy magic tronic, helping the uncoordinated poseurs pretend to be "sports car" drivers since 996 Turbo.

Guess you have never drivin a "Tippy" on a track because if you have you sure would'nt be saying such stupid things...

Yea, a stick is my preference but some people need an automatic or just perfer it. Don't know if you have ever been near a track - but if so go drive one and see for yourself.

haha - except for special cases (physical limitations, injuries, etc), I must agree that tip is for pretenders. However, I don't know if even the manual TT is a real sportscar anymore. 3400+ lbs? Horsepower and torque does not a sportscar make. (At least it still has dry sump though )

It is the fire extinguisher. It's an option in ROW markets.

Actually, the NA market buys less tips %wise than ROW.

From a personal safety perspective, it makes some sense; as may be able to reach it while still strapped into your seat (3 point lap belt) I suppose.

I've seen people mount it under the passenger seat and have always wondered if they would be able to reach it from their seat if they really needed to.

IIRC, a recent Pano article compared the 6 speed to the Tiptronic, based on laptimes around the 'Ring.
The driver quoted in the article probably does not fit the category of 'poseur':

Walter Röhrl

He actually liked the Tiptronic and the laptimes were very close (even with the slight weight disadvantage of the Tip).

BTW, it requires a lot more than a "little coordination" to PROPERLY drive a stick shift car.
Take a drive with someone who knows how to and you'll quickly understand.
