Default Fender rolling for Techart wheels

I am looking at 20" Techart wheels and is says that fender rolling is required - what exactly does fender rolling entail?

it requires a good body shop person to bend the lip of the wheel well with the appropriate dolly so that the tire will not hit the fender when it moves up into the well.

careful!

Thanks. Is this a common requirement when moving to a 20" wheel? Has anyone actually done this? I love the look of this car and will likely use the same wheels. I know - I may look like a pimp or drug dealer, but I'll look good...

I asked one of the local rides with 20" techarts if they were rubbing on stock suspension and they said there were NO issues. ??

What did you not like about the Techart car? I don't necessarily like the aerokit, I just like the wheels. IMHO, the P factory wheels are dull - especially for a 100k car. I know, there is a whole other thread on that subject.

Just the way the car was set up, rode like crap...bumpy bumpy bumpy even on the smooth Autobahn at speeds to 149mph (240kph).
I would not like to think about it on our crappy interstate system.
Like my stock "S"

Their carbon bits and really thick steering wheel were not to my liking either..
To each their own

My car with 20" techarts and cargraphic lowering springs. No need to roll fender...you still have atleast 1 inch gap between tire and fender.
BUT LIKE MJ SAID TO EACH THERE OWN... I GUESS I SACRIFICED A BIT HARSHER RIDE FOR THE LOOK

We've put on a few Tech Art 20s on 997S' and seriously you do NOT need to roll your fenders. Clearance is a-ok and this is also on cars that we have put lowering springs on too. I have to agree however about the ride... If you want performance stick to 19s!
