Default Track Safety question

Is there any way to have instead of a wall, acres of open grass so if you spin out or lose control you won't hit anything?

Having lots of open grass for an off-track excursion does not necessarily mean that nothing bad will happen. If you go off sideways into grass, the car may catch a wheel and roll. Look for a link in a rennlist thread to some video of this very thing happening to a subaru.

Some of the tracks out here have sandy run off areas.(with a few rocks thrown in) It's a lot better then concrete barriers.......

There are no guarantees on any track be it open space, grass, tires, armco or concrete.
Always look where you want to go, keep your eyes up
If it feels exciting, slow down
Driving is all about seat time, seat time and more seat time.

Grass can be like ice especially when wet.
