Which Quickjacks
Quickjack is best investment ever for your 997. Easily pays for itself by making DIY labor a breeze vs having to depend on independent shop or dealer for maintenance and repairs. Be sure you use it so the label end is toward the rear of your 997.
I bought the 7000 series because we have a heavy SUV. The quick jack it’s heavy and bulky enough that for small jobs I’d still pull out the floor jack and stands. Have no regret on the purchase though. Such a useful tool to have for DIYers.
I can confirm that a Quickjack ist a gamechanger when it comes to DIY. I have the Quickjack 5000TL and 997, 986, Miata ND and Audi A3 works great so far. Be sure to order the different rubber adaptions as well if you want to handle different cars.
I’m replacing mine with a MAxJax next year. I find it extremely awkward after having a two-post lift in my former shop. My two car garage is too low for for a regular lift or I would have gotten one when we moved in.
For a tire swap or brake work, it’s ok. I could easily swap engines unassisted which you aren’t going to do safely with a Quickjack. I just find it annoying to move and store.

I added 4 of these to each lift which makes it quite a bit easier to get them into position under the car while also not scratching the floor.
I have mine hanging on the wall. They are a bit of a pain in the *** to get on and off the hooks since they are 80-85 pounds each and there arent great grip locations that won't pinch your fingers.

You can push them together on the ground and drive over them by keeping them centered between your wheels.......not literally driving over them like a speed bump. For folks that don't want to deal with storing them on the walls and park in the same place consistently this is a solution.
