Default Electronic drone sound above 5k

Listen at 0:05 and then from 0:33 to the end particularly around 0:46.

Carrera 2, I've noticed lately a high-note, faint but persistent electronic-sounding resonance or drone-ish noise that tracks with the RPM when I go above 5k. I can't say for sure it's a new noise since I've mostly driven this car with the windows down since acquiring it in the spring.

I thought it might be the result of me removing the DVD nav and intalling a MOST fiber bypass loop, but when I reinstalled the DVD the sound remains. I've powered off the stereo and that didn't do anything. My next troubleshoot will be removing the head unit (installed a dynavin9 about 4 months ago).

Any ideas what the cause could be and possible troubleshooting/ fixes? Possible ground issue? The only other electronic-related work I've done is: installing dashcam, powered by a fuse tap, and I installed the wire on the head unit for a backup camera I haven't gotten around to installing.

Or, is it normal and therefore I'll get used to it? TIA!

Otherwise, the sweet sound of a 911 running up the rpm never gets old. It is gorgeous to listen to.

I'm not hearing anything, but that doesn’t mean it not there. Anyway, I'm in Malvern, near Kimberton on Charlestown Road.

I’m closer to Kimberton! Charlestown road is great pre-rush hour. What are you driving? Mine is arctic silver.

Most likely alternator whine from the accessories - could be a bad ground somewhere? You said it doesn't go away when you power the radio off so I'd start with other items.

F036046823C Porsche hydraulic motor mount not sure the suspension mounts but I’d imagine they are original to the car No record of them being replaced

what’s your theory?

I didn't listen to the video but monoball rear suspension top mounts will transmit a vibration and resonance to the chassis that could be perceived as a humming. It's felt more than it's heard. The OEM foam top mounts don't seem to do this.

On my car I've had front monoball top mounts for a decade along with semi solid motor mounts and FF trans mount inserts. I later added the rear monoballs and noticed the difference.
