Default Getting B12 kit—add DSC module at the same time?

Am getting the Bilstein B12 kit to upgrade original shocks on an 09 PASM Carrera S with 112k. Had never heard of DSC but am intrigued by all of the favorable reviews.

Does it make sense to spring for the DSC at the same time as the suspension upgrade, or wait a bit to see how the B12 kit feels in its own? Any pros or cons? Thanks!

Its pretty easy to swap in the DSC module and its not related to the mechanical work so no need to do it at the same time.

So if you wait and add it later it will be like 2 upgrades instead of 1, which is always fun.

DSC module is highly recommended though, it works well, but again no need to do it all at once unless you want to.

If you want to know if there is a placebo effect or not with the DSC, get the B12 kit, drive on it for 3 or so months, and then install the DSC. If you have a 997.2, it is literally just plugging the new box in. Then, drive on the DSC. I did a 1k trip + daily driving for 3 months and then did the DSC and repeated the same thing. The difference was pretty insane on my .1 C2S.

I'd wait, change one thing at a time. You get the benefit of feeling and knowing the changes to the specific modification and you get the benefit of improving the car more than once like @prestonj67 mentioned!

Installed the DSÇ on my stock .1 C2S and loved the improvement. I then installed the B16's and found the ride tolerable and the handling superb. Highly recommend both.

It’s been closer to six months, but I’m doing precisely this.

Did you do this?
What's the update?
I still love my DSC box with the B12s.

could you share more insight on going from stock to stock spasm with DSC to B16 with. DSC?

I am getting dsc on my .1 as we speak and I am looking at lowering options but everything I read indicates worse ride quality for normal driving. How does b16+dsc compare?
