Frunk battery cover
I searched and didn't really find much on Rennlist (saw some on other forums) - but I am assuming everyone else has issues with the battery cover panel not fitting and basically being a real pain to get back in place? Has anyone just thrown in the towel, replaced it, and then it fit better? I'm thinking about replacing it but would feel pretty stupid if it still wasn't a great fit.

Mine fits, but I have to jiggle it around quite a bit. If you’re doing it for trickle charging maybe the better route is just to use the cigarette lighter port?

Possibly stating the obvious, but: are you certain the panels to the left and right are installed/positiined correctly?
it’s those panels that I find finicky, and if not placed properly make the battery cover a challenge.
At least, that’s my story

I think they are! They don't look misaligned to me, but at some point I'll just pull everything out and start from the ground up re-positioning things. Any tips or tricks or gotchas re: those panels that you know of?

I just know that last week I removed all 3 of those panels, A, B, C, accessed and clean out debris and flushed my drain ports.
those two panels A&C flanking the battery panel have a lip running the outer edge facing the quarterpanels, and that lip tucks under the long/thin trim pieces X&Y, respectively, running the length of the compartment.
but after returning the panels A/C, my center battery panel was being difficult, until I realized the panels A/C to left/right only *appeared* properly positioned/seated. They were in snug and fine, and to my unexperienced had seemed ‘installed.’
Only later did it become clear there was a *touch* more tucking left to do. That extra little made for the difference in tolerances of getting the battery panel B to lay in right/better. (The little securing turn tabs still/always being a wimpy/wompy.)

every time I remove that stuff, I want to do this.
Here is what a normal carrera looks like without the plastic and etc.

I started a thread about this before because I think the plastic is so cheap.
