Very curious for a reputable shop to skip a DME readout on a PPI given how much information the DME provides on the car's history and condition. Kind of having your annual physical done, skipping the blood work.

I've got this one in my cart PX5 with 4gb+64gb + MOST adaptor and backup camera. It's probably comparable with the 8581 from Heregoes. I think that big thread about these headunits had multiple users stating that the owtosin units are of higher quality than heregoes and any other brands. I'm debating between this and getting a Sony XAV-AX3200 and the wiring harness + dashkit + MOST adaptor separately. I'm familiar with the Sony unit from my other vehicle and think it must be higher quality and more reliable than any AliExpress unit. But I'm not sure if one of them will be harder to install the other, and since I'm planning to do this myself I want it to be as much plug and play as possible.

As for the motor mount, I would have left them alone if I didn't have the sagging exhaust tip. Since this is my first P car, I would have liked to drive it a bit more before changing the motor mount so I can actually perceive the difference in the upgrade. Plus it's going to be a huge cost upfront for all these projects! But that's just my 2c.

Good luck and message me when you're working on it!

Just a suggestion when/if you change out the belt, replace the 2 Idler Pulleys if they haven't been done----> They will fail somewhere around 75K-95K and better to be proactive.

Congratulations and looks like found a nice clean 997.1 C2S. Like most of us, I highly recommend starting a UOA as most 997.1 owners chose to go with Driven DT40 5W-40, Mobilube PTX for the tranny and new brake fluid bleed to start a new baseline.

Big congrats. I was in a similar position earlier this summer when I bought my '05 C2 with 45K. In addition to the good advice above, I'd take care of the air/oil separator, ignition coils and spark plugs, and change to a low-temp thermostat. I did that along with the IMS bearing, rear main seal, clutch, and water pump.

Good luck!

Congrats.
Surely, the most important project is the exhaust hack, unless you have the sports exhaust...

Fister Mufflers (IMO having owned 997C4S's w/ Hack & Brohmberger) sound the best and closest to the PSE.

As for parts, I found that most Canadian parts places were competitively priced to Pelican, FCP euro and other by the time you factor in the exchange rate and duties. Often, Canadian places can even be less. You can try Germanparts.ca, EXO parts and PartsAvatar are all pretty good.

Finally - not sure if your water pump has been done but several on here suggest replacing that before they go on their own as well.
With the PASM controller are you referring to the aftermarket DSC controller? If so, how do you like it?

DSC controller worth every penny. Best mod you’ll ever do.
