New to Group question
Hi, I'm just looking for some advice.
I'm looking to purchase a 2007 911S with the turbo wheels manual. It has
48,000 km on it and overall the car is quite nice. He's looking for $60,000 Canadian... What you guys thoughts?
Really looking forward to being part of this community one day

Get full PPI & Bore Scope Inspection with photos of each cylinder.

As stated above, PPI from a reputable Indy would be the secret sauce. 07 should be fine with the IMS bearing issue but bore scoring will be a potential time bomb. I'd hate for you buy something and then need to drop 25k on engine issues shortly thereafter.
Spend the money for peace of mind now rather than post purchase rabbit hole anxiety later.
I have a 2006 S in the same color and I've driven the ***** off of it and it's got 106k Miles. These are fantastic cars.
But then I had to adda GT3, and then I had to add a Cayenne S, and then I had to add a 964. Be warned..... Addiction, my friend.
Best of luck with the hunt. Don't settle. You'll always wonder.

I’ll echo the others, scope the cylinders from the sump. If all comes back clean start negotiating.
I appreciate your tips- it's a manual
Manual Great choice - Today's exchange rate shows $60,000 Canadian is $43,985 USD.
As long as the car checks our A+ that would be a decent price. Cold weather car and "S" engine a bit more susceptible to Bore Scoring do you your due dilligence on the PPI & Bore Scope Insp. Insist on 2 photos of each cylinder.
What options does the car have?
Hows the service history - Any records w/car or on Carfax? You checked Carfax for accident damage?

The car has bose stereo, Chrono and sports steering wheel all the histories pretty good. No accidents. It's got a brand new clutch and it's had some seagulls replaced. It's got all the services done at a Porsche dealership

Keep us posted.
When you have PPI performed make sure they give you the DME Over Rev Report as well as Cam Deviation numbers.

Neville with the words of wisdom. I was once looking for a 997.1 and through mass research for me it was cheaper to pony up a few more bucks and get a .2 for the long run. If you plan to keep it till its dead then I'd go .2 all the way. 40 percent less moving parts if I remember right. The deal you have in front of you doesn't seem bad but a base .2 is just as fast just as wide and quadruple the peace of mind.
