Carplay + CDR30?

Carplay + CDR30?
I've got a 997.2 GT3 with the base stereo and the CDR30 headunit. What's the best way to get Apple Carplay and retain the OEM volume and tuning ***** (or at least physical *****)?
The NM Auto requires the PCM 3.0 stereo. I think the Mr12Volt does as well.

I can confirm that our Mr12Volt unit needs a pcm 3.0 or 3.1

Just installed a Kenwood DDX9907XR in my 09 to replace a dead PCM. Car play, DVD etc. Base radio in the car. Screen looks great, car play works awesome. Didn't have to cut any factory wires (used the install kit from Suncoast). There is a factory amp under the passenger seat which is retained and all the speakers work. They have cheaper units if you don't care about a DVD player. Only issue is a slight hiss present which I think is coming from the cars amp. It's not really noticeable if you're listening to music. But haven't troubleshot this yet. Would go this route again. I had the NM Auto car play in the factory PCM but the PCM died. Good luck. Feel free to DM me if you have any specific questions.
