Am I reading the for-sale ad correctly - 2009 Base w/162K miles and asking $65K??
Seems to me all that work to make car pretty should have been performed on car with 1/3 the miles.
I agree it's a great looking car - I'd be curious what someone actually pays for it.

It’s only for a buyer who wants to save a lot of money on a non stock car. With all new components and also looks better than a low mile car. I could have saved a lot of money buying this car at this price, tens of thousands of dollars. It’s not for most of the rennlisters and that’s kind of why I didn’t even bother posting it on Rennlist.
Buuuuuuttttt if I don’t sell it for my asking price in a month then I won’t need to sell it. I’ll just need an extra parking space lol
I do enjoy this car and am torn on buying something else or keeping it and building the 4.2lt engine I really want.

Good point. If it was a low mile car I would have not modified it. But that’s why I didn’t buy a low mile car, I don’t like stock 997s unless it’s a gt 997.

Good luck with the sale.
The problem I had when I restored one of my 356's years ago was I didn't want to drive it anywhere or park it because paint was so nice and fresh. Was a top quality resto and always worried about it being stolen.
Lived in garage most of the time.

A good market to sell would probably be Bring a Trailer. However since they set the reserve price they might not meet your $65K requirement. Might be worth a try.
Good luck with the sale.

Is the rubber trim around the side windows very difficult to remove and replace? I heard they rivet in

It’s a pain to capture the rivets before they drop down into the lower body seam. Besides that it’s like drilling and re riveting anything else. Removing and replacing the rear quarter interior panels so you can get to the drilled rivet pieces is maybe the most difficult part of the job.
