very happy to be a 997.1 owner, after years of taking care of a number of great P-cars, this arrived today, a 2008 manual C4S (22,000 miles) with a number of very nice IMO options including XLF (sport exhaust), 640 (sport chrono plus), XAA (Aerokit), AT (Black full leather), XFG (instrument dials Guards Red), XSX (seat belts Guards Red), CXD (door entry guard illuminated carbon fiber) and lots of deviated stitching. looking forward to participating in this forum.

Really nice and a rare build. Anyone who wanted the same thing would have to look long and hard and have a lot of luck on his/her side. Any interior pictures? Looks very similar to mine except for the full leather.

Congrats! She is a beauty and has a great and beautifully wide rear end! Welcome to the 997 club. What other P-cars have you had? How does it compare so far?

thanks for all the kudos on the car, as of right now I am beyond the moon with how this car drives, feels, accelerates, handles, sounds, looks standing still. I'm in the learning mode. Yesterday did a "regular" drive (did not engage sport mode). Today I pressed the button and was massively thrilled, wait? do I have two cars in one? First drive was great, second drive in sport was up many notches. The sound really got me in sport mode (as did the throttle response) as I've seen posts about Porsche exhausts not being up to the level of the car, including factory sport exhausts. As of right now I disagree and will keep her as is. I've taken care of a 986 Boxster, two '87 911s (Targa and Coupe), a '89 951 (now for sale) I've briefly driven a 997.2 Carrera Coupe and a 996 TT. I still own a '11 Boxster Spyder (PDK, not LWB) I really love the Spyder, everything about it is pure mid-engine Porsche lightness, handling and excitement. It has an after-market Borla exhaust (came to me that way), I like the sound, but you have to manage drone at higher gear lower RPM. Who drives at lower RPM? I'll know more how these boys compare when things improve here weather wise. My guess is they will be both excellent, different and great. Here is a few on the C4S interior.
