Default If you could make one mod...?

Hi folks. Excited to be here. New guy post - with a new guy question.

New to me GTS C2 Manual, dead stock. If you could do just one mod, what would it be and why?

2009 C2S 186K miles

DSC PASM controller. Period. Cheap, 15 minute install, 15 minute deinstall, you can configure to your taste, sell it for near what you paid. And you experience it 100% of the time.

Peace

Default One Mod?

I would eliminate the center muffler. Our Porsches are too quiet. Need a little grumble (not too much). If you have the Porsche Sports Exhaust, this will complement the sound.

Exhaust: sharkwerks + gundo hack. Nice-sized burble, stronger deep sound, and a wee bit of a performance gain.

+1. ^^^^^^^

Gundo Hack ( or Fisters if you can’t DIY the Gundo ). Then Center muffler delete if it’s still too quiet.

Bruce in Philly / Atlanta nailed it.

DSC Sport Controller.

Without it your car behaves like a clumsy 14 year old kid.

With it, it's Michael Jordan.

OP has a GTS, so probably came with PSE?

DSC controller + sharkwerks center muffler bypass (assuming paired with PSE or equivalent) would be my vote for essential mods. Both really transform the car immensely

That would be my first choice too. Problem is that I couldn't stop with that to get the car to where I wanted it. The OEM offset on the GTS is "conservative" and lowering it makes it even more conservative. With centerlock wheels = no spacers so the only fix is after market wheels with customized offsets to get the wheels flush with the fenders. Eliminating the center muffler with Sharkwerks or any other quality bypass option would complete the makeover for me.

To the OP....sorry. Three mods instead of one so I guess just take your pick .

As you've seen here, make 2 mods. DSC and center muffler delete

In any case, I would clean the air intakes thoroughly and fit grilles. You can do this yourself and it is one of the most important measures against dirt, constant damp and therefore cost-intensive repairs.

Good one - I had been looking into this and the one thing I wondered was if it was geared more to "spirited" driving or if you got the benefit when you're made to go a little easier. This answers the question. Thanks.
