Nope- fun car only. We're retired, and I put less than 3,000 miles on it per year. Never go out in the rain or snow, or when the roads have salt on them in the winter, or are wet.

The hard part for us is deciding which one to take out for a ride!

Nice Targa!
Had fun when I owned mine! On many of the 911sc's I've owned I always installed the H4 European headlights. Loved the look and made a nice upgrade.
If you buy them with the primer'd trim rings you can paint the trim rings yourself - Easy to do and auto supply can mix high quality German color matched spray paint (using your fender and their computer color match gun) for exact match and satin clear coat.
I've painted many pairs

groovzilla: Thanks. I've received the H4 suggestion many times on the PP 911 Technical Forum. I think it's a good idea. The lights, inside and outside, are terrible at night.

Maybe you've tipped the scale. May be a good spring project.

Default DD my 911's for the past 34 years

P-Brothers, I have been DD my 911's since 1990 from Northern New Jersey into Manhattan - no issues, just smiling. Since I only have been driving 911's - I am 100% comfortable, like my Father use to say " You can't miss what you never had"

I drive mine whenever I get the urge, which is often. But my daily driver is a 2019 Toyota Tundra. My wife has a 2017 Macan S which is her DD.

I used to DD my 997 to the office 17miles each way, but it felt like a waste; like using a Ka-bar to spread mayo. Now I daily an F31 MSport wagon, which seems like a more appropriate tool.

You can say that again many times over and it seems to be getting worse. Probably because of smart phones. The phones may be smart but as I see it they haven't made most drivers any smarter. Two rear ends in two years on two different 997's thanks to smart phones. At least they both admitted to it and they both had insurance.

What probably bothers me more though is riding my Cannondale road bike just about every early evening. I stick to the back roads as much as I can but there are a few stretches where I have to contend with traffic to get to the back roads. Florida law states that you have to give cyclists 3' between the cyclist and your car. At best, one out of ten motorists are aware of this or care....probably way less.

The stretches I'm talking about where cars become a concern have a 30 mph speed limit. I'm regularly passed by cars (mostly big pick up trucks but not the only offenders ) doing at least 50 mph and nowhere close to yielding the 3' being the law.

Had a large pick up pass me (in the bike lane) at what had to be at least 50 mph and at best 1' away from me. And I have plenty of lights. Not just reflectors.

My ‘09 manual 997.2 C2 is an occasional nice weather vehicle. I have four other vehicles to juggle.
